All Done!

Wow! What a year it has been! It is hard to describe the emotions I am feeling right now: Its all a mix of relief, sadness, growth and reflection. This year in ISM I found out what hard work means; I found out what it means to work on my own terms; I found out what I love and what I don't love too much. The experience has been grueling, but incredibly educational and beneficial. The hard work has shown me the fulfillment that can be found in creating something original, and something that takes a lot of time and research. Though they are not perfect, my Original Work and Final Product are reflections of my growth, both as a musician and as a young man.

Through ISM I have discovered my passion for creative inquiry and for working with experts, and also that I do not, in fact, want to pursue music production. Although it seems ironic, I feel that this fulfills the purpose of ISM to the same degree as I would have if I had decided to pursue it as a career; I've crossed something off of the list! My plans now are to continue exploring possible careers, and I will do so using what I've learned this year.
